Derwent Lower School Uniform
Our School uniform helps to give an identity and the children a sense of pride in our School.
Sweatshirts, Cardigans, PE T-shirts, book/PE bags and caps with the school logo on are available to purchase from our uniform supplier ‘Beat School Uniform’ directly online at https://beatschooluniforms.co.uk/schools/derwent_lower_school_/ or in their shop based in Hitchin. (Address details can be found on their website).
As a school, our expectation is that the children will wear sweatshirts and cardigans with a logo.
School Uniform

P.E. Kit
Children will need the following items for PE:
- Black Shorts
- Burgundy T-Shirt with or without the Derwent Logo
- Plimsolls or Non-Marking Trainers
Children should bring their named PE kit into school at the start of each Term. We encourage you to keep your child’s PE kit in school so that it is available if there are any changes to the PE timetable. Kits can be taken home at half term for washing.
For outdoor work, track suits may be worn but are not a necessity. Verrucas should be covered during P.E. lessons. Earrings should not be worn. Long hair should be tied back.
PLEASE ENSURE ALL CLOTHING & POSSESSIONS ARE CLEARLY NAMED and encourage your child to dress him/herself from an early age, even though it takes them a little longer than with your help.
